AICHI (TR) – Aichi Prefectural Police are hunting for multiple foreign nationals suspected of fatally beating an Iranian man with a metal pipe and dumping his battered body at a hospital in Toyokawa City, reports Fuji News Network (Apr. 5).

On April 3, 41-year-old Iranian national Alireza Shahmoradi was discovered collapsed with severe full-body injuries on the grounds of Toyokawa City Hospital. He was subsequently confirmed dead.

According to investigative sources, about two hours prior to the gruesome discovery, a man believed to be Shahmoradi was spotted at the Shinshiro Parking Area on the Tomei Expressway.

Witnesses reported seeing him embroiled in a heated dispute with three men before being viciously assaulted with what appeared to be a metal pipe.

Police interviews have newly revealed that the assailants are believed to be a group of foreign nationals.

Investigators suspect that following the brutal attack at the expressway parking area, Shahmoradi was abducted in a black van and later discarded at the medical facility. Police are currently analyzing nearby security camera footage in an urgent manhunt to track down the fleeing suspects.
