TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested a 45-year-old man for allegedly taking illicit photos of a high school girl using a camera hidden inside a bag, reports Nippon News Network (Feb. 13).
According to police, Yasuaki Hikasa is suspected of taking tosatsu (upskirt) photos of the high school girl on the platform of Ogawa Station on the Seibu Line in Kodaira City on February 5.
Hikasa is believed to have installed a camera inside a tote bag. On the platform, he approached the girl from behind and inserted the bag under her skirt.
During questioning, Hikasa admitted to the charges. “I was taking secret photos at the station. I wanted a change of pace,” he said.
He also stated that he had taken photos of around 100 other girls.
Tokyo police are currently investigating whether the suspect committed other crimes.
