TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested a 37-year-old man who is suspected of falsely promising women that he was holding a “modeling audition.”
According to police, the purpose of the shoots by Tatsuya Sato was for them to pose for him in their underwear, reports TBS News (Feb. 12).
Sato denies the allegations, saying that he took the underwear photos as part of a business venture.

Sato last year told them women them that a lingerie brand was holding a modeling audition. He then had a photographer take photos of them in their underwear at a rented studio in Shinjuku Ward.
One woman became suspicious when Sato instructed her to pose with her breasts together. After she later checked with the brand, she discovered that Sato had not been telling the truth.
During the investigation, police seized school girl uniforms and maid costumes.
There have been several similar cases reported to police. The investigation is continuing into whether they are related.
