TOKYO (TR) – An adult video (AV) starlet in custody for attempting to extort a male nightclub entertainer was in debt to the victim, it was revealed on Thursday, reports Nikkan Sports (Apr. 20).

On Tuesday, police arrested Anri Sakaguchi, 24, for attempting to extort the man, a bar host in his 30s, out of 30,000 yen in cash.

She was prosecuted at the Tokyo District Public Prosecutor’s Office on Thursday morning. According to the Shinjuku Police Station, Sakaguchi has declined to comment on the allegations.

Prior to the incident, Anri Sakaguchi had taken out loans from the victim on multiple occasions. At some point, however, he stopped the lending. Sakaguchi later sent a message to the host, who by trade entertains multiple female customers, saying that she would release a photograph of his taken inside a hotel room.

According to Sports Hochi (Apr. 20), the photograph in question did not include Sakaguchi or the host. However, the victim claimed it was private property.

Upon meeting on a road in Shinjuku Ward on Tuesday night, the victim told Anri Sakaguchi that the message she had sent previously was extortion. He then summoned police, who arrived and arrested the starlet.

After a career in the entertainment industry, Sakaguchi made her AV debut for label Muteki in October. She has since starred in titles for label Moodyz.
