TOKYO (TR) – A man was re-arrested for forcing a 13-year-old girl he met through a fan club for singer Kyary Pamyu Pamyu to perform sexual acts, and similarly manipulated other teenage girls, police said on Friday.

Tokyo Metropolitan Police arrested Kazuki Morikawa, 38, for forcing the second-year middle school student to perform sexual acts at a hotel on April 23, 2016 in the Higashi-Ikebukuro area of Toshima Ward, reports the Sankei Shimbun (Mar. 17).

Police first arrested Morikawa in February on suspicion of violating youth protection laws after filming the acts with a smartphone.

Morikawa, suspicion of violating the anti-child prostitution and pornography law, admits to the charges, telling police he likes minors. “I met her at a concert venue, and I invited her because she was my type,” the Asahi Shimbun quoted Morikawa as saying (Mar. 17).

He also told police he performed sexual acts with “several other fan club members,” according to TV Asahi (Mar. 17).

The girl told police she ended up believing that she “wouldn’t be able to do fan activities if [Morikawa] hated me.”

Police discovered videos on Morikawa’s smartphone showing several girls performing sexual acts.

Morikawa lured the girl through the official fan club for Kary Pyamu Pyamu in which he plays a prominent role. He also exploited his position in repeatedly doing the same with other teenage fans, police said.

Morikawa’s blog and Twitter account (@tyunsehosihosi) suggest he has frequented numerous concerts and events of idols and artists since four years ago, and became famous among certain fans.
