TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested the director of a chiropractic clinic in the Ginza area of Chuo Ward for allegedly performing obscene acts on female patients, reports Nippon News Network (Nov. 16).

In September, Akihiro Isobe, the 47-year-old director of the Isobe Beauty Chiropractic V Center, allegedly probed his fingers inside the underwear of a patient, aged in her 20s, during a treatment that was said to remedy pelvic problems.

“I am only looking at your body as an object for treatment; this is not about eroticism,” Isobe reportedly said at some point. “So don’t worry about it.” He then required her to strip off her clothing.

Isobe, who has been charged with quasi-indecent assault, denies the allegations.

Since 1999, Isobe has treated more than 30,000 people, including celebrities, models and writers, according to the clinic’s web site. He has garnered popularity among women seeking to improve their looks, having appeared on television and in a number of fashion magazines.

Police are now investigating Isobe for complaints lodged by two other women.
