TOCHIGI (TR) – Tochigi Prefectural Police have arrested a 24-year-old company employee believed to be behind a string of women’s underwear thefts in Ashikaga City, reports TV Asahi (Oct. 28).

Police accused Kiyohiko Monna of trespassing into a home and stealing more 14 articles of clothing, including gym uniforms and bags, belonging to a female middle school student in June of 2011.

Monna has admitted to the allegations. “I like children, and I wanted children’s clothing,” the suspect is quoted by police. The suspect added that he had committed more than 50 other thefts.

A search of the suspect’s home by police revealed approximately 300 women’s garments, including women’s underwear.
