GIFU (TR) – Koji Ogawa, a landlord for four soapland bathhouses in the Kanazuen red-light area of Gifu City, was among four suspects charged on Tuesday by prefectural police with accepting illegal funds, reports the Shizuoka Shimbun (Apr. 23).

Between September of 2011 and December of last year, the suspects are alleged to have received 4.46 million yen in rent from clubs offering sexual services in violation of the Anti-Prostitution Law.

In January, prefectural police raided four bathhouses in Kanazuen for prostitution. Officers seized the lists of the names of employees and 40 million yen in cash.
