NAGANO (TR) – A male teacher allegedly sneaked into a woman’s home and raped her while she was sleeping, police said on Wednesday.
Police arrested Hayashi Kamiya, 38, who teaches at an elementary school in Ina City, on Tuesday on breaking and entering and sexual assault charges over the alleged crime that occurred at night on September 18 in Nagano Prefecture, Nippon News Network reports (Nov. 23).
Police said the circumstances of the incident are still under investigation, and did not disclose whether Kamiya has admitted to the charges.
The woman filed a report with officers immediately after the incident, police said.
