According to officers from the Hokuto Police Station, a construction crew using heavy machinery for an expansion project discovered human bones buried at a depth of about one meter in a garden of the residence, located in the Nagasaka area.
The body’s gender and approximate time of death are not known.
A representative of a real estate company said that existing structure was constructed about 15 years ago as a part of a project that involved the demolition of a previous structure. It is speculated that the body was buried on the property prior to the construction of the existing structure.
Police are now working to confirm the identity of the body.
