MIYAGI (TR) – Miyagi Prefectural Police on Tuesday issued a sketch of a woman whose body was found earlier this year in hopes of receiving information from the public in identifying her, reports Kahoku Shimpo (Aug. 2).
The Sendaihigashi Police Station issued a sketch showing the woman, believed to be aged between 30 and 55, with short hair, parted in the middle.
On March 1, the woman’s skeletal remains were found in a grove of trees in the Masue area of Miyagino Ward.
The woman, who measures 155 centimeters in height, was clothed in a Uniqlo brand sweater, pink pants and black sandals. Police also issued a photo showing the pants, which are adorned with drawings of animals.
The case is being treated as a suicide.
