MIE (TR) – Mie Prefectural Police arrested on Tuesday arrested a high school student who has admitted to killing an 18-year-old female classmate after she had requested to die, reports the Yomiuri Shimbun (Sep. 29).
According to police, the male student, who is also 18, stabbed Miu Hada to death with a 15-centimeter knife on Mt. Torao in Ise City at around 5:10 p.m. The victim received a stab wound to the heart. The cause of death was loss of blood, police said.
The suspect, who has been charged with murder, admits to the allegations, telling police that Hada had begged to be killed.
At the time of the incident, the suspect and Hada had stayed out of contact with friends and relatives. But once the suspect revealed their location using the smartphone application Line, approximately 8 people arrived at the scene.
At approximately 9:45 p.m., a caller to emergency services received indicated that Hada had been stabbed. Upon the arrival of medical personnel to the scene, she was confirmed dead. The bloodstained murder weapon was found nearby.
