KANAGAWA (TR) – Kanagawa Prefectural Police have arrested a 23-year-old man over the alleged rape of a girl he met on Instagram, reports NHK (June 11).
Last October, Teppei Katsumura, a bar employee, is alleged to have sexually assaulted the sixth-year elementary school girl, 12, at his home Minami Ward, Sagamihara City.
Upon his arrest on suspicion of non-consensual sexual intercourse, Katsumura partially denied the allegations. ” thought she had consented when she came to my house,” he said.
Prior to the incident, Katsumura pretended to be a 17-year-old girl on Instagram. He then invited the girl to “play games” at his home.
Katsumura also hinted that he engaged in similar sexual acts with other middle and high school girls. The investigation is ongoing.
