HYOGO (TR) – Hyogo Prefectural Police on Tuesday arrested a 68-year-old woman on charges of theft — and it was far from her first violation, reports the Sankei Shimbun (Nov. ).
At approximately 10:50 a.m., Shigeko Sakamoto is alleged to have come up from behind a 79-year-old woman inside a ship in Nishinomiya City and taken a wallet from inside the bag she was carrying.

According to officers from the Nishinomiya Police Station, the suspect began committing similar crimes when she was a teenager. Over the course of her 50-year career, she has been arrested for theft on approximately 20 occasions.
