FUKUOKA (TR) – Fukuoka Prefectural Police are investigating a 29-year-old female sex worker already in custody for attempted murder in a separate case in which an acquaintance fell to her death from a bridge, reports the Sankei Shimbun (May 27).

In the early morning hours of April 4, Natsuki Sakuda, a resident of Fukuoka’s Hakata Ward, allegedly had her former boyfriend consume a large quantity of sleeping pills and then choked him with a cord inside his residence at the time in Kurume City.

The man suffered slight injuries. Police subsequently arrested Sakuda on charges of attempted murder. The couple had previously discussed breaking off their relationship.

Sakuda denies the charges.

Sakuda is also under investigation in a murder case. On April 29, the body of a 25-year-old female acquaintance of the suspect was found in a stream below the Mino Grand Bridge in Yame City.

With drugs apparent in her system, police are considering that the woman was pushed off the bridge, which stands 60 meters high.
