TOKYO (TR) – She’s more than a porn actress with a pretty face; she can also move one to tears.
At least, that is the belief of the music label for adult video (AV) actress Airi Kijima. On February 2, her six-track solo debut release “Diary” will hit store shelves via Milky Pop Generation, whose roster includes approximately 20 starlets.
The lyrics to the collection of ballads and ’80s-inspired rock numbers were penned by Kijima while a number of musicians, including Miyako Matsuoka, wrote the music.
As a preview, Milky Pop Generation will host a special New Year’s party at theater Shinjuku Marz on January 23 that features performances by Kijima and other actresses on the label, including Mayu Nozomi, Kotomi Asakura and Emi Asano.
The album may be Kijima’s debut but it is not her first experience in music. Over six months starting in 2012, Kijima was a member of the Ebisu Muscats, a pop group composed of gravure (pin-up) models and AV idols.
She made her AV debut with Idea Pocket in 2013 in the label’s “First Impression” series. She has since starred in features in a number of roles, including as a soapland masseuse and librarian.
The label will also release Nozomi’s debut “Rs” on February 2.
