SHIZUOKA (TR) – Shizuoka Prefectural Police have arrested three persons living in Shizuoka City over the alleged abandoning of the corpse of a 30-year-old man in Fujieda City earlier this year, reports NHK (Dec. 7).
Sometime between June and October, Kiyoto Suzuki, a 31-year-old corporate executive, Ryoma Miyake, the manager of a bar, and a 19-year-old woman are alleged to have worked together to dump the body of Takayuki Nito in the mountains of the city.
The Chuo Police Station in Shizuoka City did not reveal whether the suspects admit to the allegations.
On October 2, the mother of Nito contacted police to report him missing. Police later found his charred corpse in the mountains.
The results of a DNA analysis conducted on the body proved to be a match for Nito.
Police said that persons connected with Nito indicated that he dropped out of contact in June.
Nito ran several bars, including one operated by Suzuki. It is believed that the suspects and Nito had financial difficulties between them, police said.
