MIYAGI (TR) – Miyagi Prefectural Police investigating the murder of a 19-year-old female vocational student in Sendai City on Thursday discovered the body of her acquaintance, reports TBS News (April 14).
On Thursday, the school attended by Mao Kimura, who lives in Wakabayashi Ward, telephoned police. “Miss Kimura has been absent from school,” a person from the school said.
Officers arriving at her residence found her dead inside with stab wounds to the back. Police then launched a murder investigation.
A witness told police about a man in his 20s who was acquainted with Kimura. Police visited his residence on Thursday night and found him dead inside, the result of an apparent suicide.
According to police, Kimura had been dead for an extended period. The results of an autopsy will be used to determine the cause of death.
