Corpse discovered in landing gear of flight arriving in Malaysia from Tokyo

MALAYSIA (TR) – Malaysian authorities are investigating after the lifeless body of a young man was discovered inside the landing gear compartment of an aircraft that arrived from Tokyo, local media reports.

The gruesome discovery was made at Kuala Lumpur International Airport at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Thursday. According to the Malaysian news outlet The Star, a mechanic conducting a routine post-arrival inspection noticed a foul odor emanating from the aircraft’s wheel well.

Upon inspecting the space, the mechanic found the body lying face down. The deceased was clad in a white hoodie and light blue jeans. Investigators estimate that the man had been dead for more than 72 hours prior to the discovery.

The victim is believed to be between 17 and 25 years old. It is estimated that the person had been dead for more than 72 hours; no external injuries were observed, and no personal belongings that could help identify the individual were found.

Authorities are now rushing to confirm the man’s identity and determine the exact cause of death, as well as where and how he managed to access the aircraft’s undercarriage.
