OSAKA (TR) – Osaka Prefectural Police have arrested a 32-year-old man after a woman found collapsed at her home in Higashiosaka City this week was later confirmed dead, reports Fuji News Network (Feb. 26).

At around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, police received a call from a home in Showacho, Higashiosaka City about the killing of a woman.

When police arrived at the scene, they found Arisa Shinya, 31, collapsed face-up in a room on the first floor. She was then taken to a hospital, where she was confirmed dead.

Police later arrested the male resident who made the call, 32-year-old Seiichi Minuma, on suspicion of attempted murder.

“We had a dispute, so I strangled her with an extension cord,” Minuma said in admitting to the allegations.
