Toyama: School clerk used spy cam for illicit filming

TOYAMA (TR) – Toyama Prefectural Police have arrested a male clerk at a government-run nursing school over the alleged illicit filming of women in Toyama City last week, reports Nikkan Sports (Oct. 6).

At around 1:00 p.m. on October 6, Eiji Fujiki, a 45-year-old head clerk at the Toyama Prefectural School of Nursing, Midwifery and Public Health, allegedly used a camera hidden in the bottom of a bag to take tosatsu, or voyeur, footage of a woman, 21, and a female middle school student, 14, at a shopping center.

Fujiki, who has been accused of violating a public nuisance ordinance, admits to the allegations. “I wanted to see underwear,” the suspect was quoted by the Toyama-Nishi Police Station.

According to police, Fujiki carried out the crimes by following the victims. He was initially apprehended by two security guards who saw him behaving suspiciously.

“If [the arrest] is factual, it is truly regrettable,” a representative of the prefecture was quoted. “Upon learning the facts of the case, we will deal with the matter strictly.”
