Toyama cops: Pair of corpses found at dam remain unidentified

TOYAMA (TR) – Toyama Prefectural Police said this week that two corpses found at a dam in Takaoka City earlier this month remain unidentified, reports Tulip TV (April 26).

At around 9:25 a.m. on April 21, an official at the Goi Dam, located in the town of Fukuoka, found the bodies of the man and woman floating on the water.

According to the Takaoka Police Station, the man is believed to have been in his 60s to 80s. Of medium build, he stood about 160 centimeters tall. He was clothed in a gray long-sleeve sweatshirt, black pants and white sneakers.

The woman is believed to have been the same age. She also stood about 160 centimeters tall with a medium build. Her body was clothed in a gray short-sleeve vest, a gray long-sleeve sweater, black pants and dark blue shoes.

On April 26, police said that the results of autopsies revealed that both persons likely died due to drowning.
