KANAGAWA (TR) – Kanagawa Prefectural Police launched an investigation after the discovery of two bodies inside a burned-out vehicle in Sagamihara City on Wednesday, reports TV Kanagawa (April 26).
At around 5:50 a.m., a passerby alerted police about a “vehicle with people turned to bones inside” in the Oshima area of Midori Ward.
Emergency personnel arriving at the scene found the vehicle to be fully burned. One body in the passenger seat and another in the driver’s seat. Due to the state of the bodies, the genders are not known, police said.
Near the vehicle, police found two insurance cards and a note. “To die,” read one part of the note.
The insurance cards belong to a man in his 60s and his wife, aged in her 70s. Thus far, police have been unable to contact either person.
Police are treating the case as the result of foul play or suicide.
