NIIGATA (TR) – Niigata Prefectural Police launched an investigation after the discovery of a woman’s corpse at a pump station in Niigata City on Wednesday, reports TeNY TV (April 26).
At just before 7:00 a.m., a staff member at the Maigata Pump Station alerted police about “what appears to be a woman’s body caught in a water pump.”
According to police, the approximate age of the woman is not known. Of slender build, she stood about 150 centimeters tall.
She was wearing a purple coat, black trousers, a pink sweater, and had socks on her feet without shoes.
The body showed no signs of external wounds. She is believed to have died several months ago.
