TOCHIGI (TR) – Tiphaine Veron, a 42-year-old French woman, vanished after departing a lodge in Nikko City on July 29, 2018.
Traveling alone, she left the lodge to go trekking after breakfast at around 10:00 a.m. According to the male manager of the lodge, she was carrying a shoulder bag. She was never seen again.
Her family wants answers. And this is not the first time.
According to Fuji News Network (July 28), the United Nations in June requested that the Japanese government cooperate in the investigation. This is the fourth time that they have made the request.

It is speculated by her family that her disappearance was due to her being wrapped up in an incident.
The United Nations is requesting that security camera footage from the scene of her disappearance and the results of the analysis of Veron’s mobile telephone be shared with French investigative authorities.
The Japanese government has previously said that it cannot release certain information for privacy reasons.
Veron’s brother, Damien, visited Japan last year to continue the search. “It has been a very painful six years for our family since we were unable to find our sister,” he said. “I hope the truth will be found. It is painful that we do not know anything.”
