Miho Nakayama’s agency says no foul play in death

TOKYO (TR) – The agency for actress and singer Miho Nakayama, 54, announced on their official web site on Sunday that there was no foul play connected to her death last week.

The agency stated, “The autopsy results confirmed that there was no suspicious activity. The cause of death was also determined to have been a freak accident that occurred while taking a bath.”

Nakayama did not show up for a meeting with business associates at JR Shinagawa Station at around 9 a.m. on Friday. When the business associates visited Nakayama’s home, she was found sitting in the bathtub.

Medical personnel arriving at the scene later confirmed her dead, police said previously.

Nakayama is known to have exchanged messages with the business associates at around 11 p.m. on Thursday.

According to TBS News (Dec. 8), police conducted an autopsy on Sunday to determine the cause of death. However, the results have not been officially released.

Interviews with investigators revealed that there were no signs of foul play found at the scene or in relation to the condition of her body.
