KANAGAWA (TR) – As the sun went down and night fell, a seductive woman in a dress with a wide open back expertly unlocked the door to the parking garage of an apartment in Yokohama City. She then parked her car and entered the building.
The woman is 58-year-old actress Yuki Saito. She was holding two bouquets of flowers, as the day, September 10, was her 58th birthday.
“I sometimes see Saito at my apartment building,” a resident of the building says to weekly tabloid Josei Jishin. “She seems to be renting a parking space in the apartment building, so she may have moved here.”
However, the magazine learned that the apartment building is not Saito’s new home. Instead, it is where a doctor, aged in his 60s, resides — and with whom she is engaged in an extra-marital affair.
Saito and the doctor, who runs a clinic in Yokohama, have a long history of friendship. “The affair between Saito and the doctor was discovered in 2017,” a reporter for a sports newspaper’s entertainment desk says. “Shukan Bunshun reported that the doctor visited Saito’s rented apartment several times a week. Saito initially denied the affair, but Flash published a photo of the two kissing, forcing her to admit to it.”
Furthermore, Flash published a photo of the doctor wearing white underwear believed to be Saito’s, which caused a stir and forced Saito to drop out of the NHK Taiga drama “Saigo Don,” in which she was scheduled to appear.
“The doctor, on the other hand, got divorced after his affair was discovered. He divided all of his real estate holdings with his ex-wife,” the aforementioned source continues.
Not the first time
The affair is not the first for Saito. She is reported to have had affairs with the late Yutaka Ozaki and Mayo Kawasaki.
In November 2023, six years after the affair was reported, Shukan Bunshun reported in detail how Saito had cried and screamed in front of the doctor’s clinic, causing a commotion that required the police to be called in.
“However, in a direct interview with Shukan Bunshun, Saito completely denied that her relationship with the doctor was still continuing. She said, ‘We really just happened to meet by chance at that time,’ She added, ‘I’m very unhappy that they say our relationship continued just because I cried,'” the same reporter explains.
The morning after her birthday, the doctor drove to work at the clinic. Saito then appeared from the apartment shortly after and returned to her home in the same city, according to the magazine.
The aforementioned reporter for the sports newspaper’s entertainment desk says, “Saito has three children, and their third child, a daughter, will turn 20 in November this year. Some people say that if she were to decide to divorce, it would be after that.”
Josei Jishin tried to directly interview Saito about her relationship with the doctor and her divorce from her husband, but she wouldn’t comment.
In an interview published online in February last year, Saito spoke about being aged in her 50s.
“Suddenly I realized that I don’t have much time,” she said. “I’ve had a bad habit of putting things off for a long time. Even a simple phone call to a friend would be put off and I’d forget about it. That’s such a waste, isn’t it? So I decided to stop putting off the things I want to do. If I feel like eating, I’ll eat right away. If I want to see someone, I’ll see them, and I’ll express my honest feelings…It’s simple, but very important.”
