CHIBA (TR) – Chiba Prefectural Police early Sunday arrested a 19-year-old woman for attempting to rob a convenience store in Togane City.
Upon her arrest, the unnamed woman stated her motive as being uneasiness in her life, reports Fuji News Network (Mar. 9).
According to police, the unnamed woman broke into an outlet of Lawson at a little after 12:30 a.m. She then pointed a knife at the store’s manager and threatened him. “Give me money or call the police,” she said.
Police officers who rushed to the scene took the knife away from the woman and arrested her on the spot for attempted robbery.
The male owner was not injured. As well, no items were stolen.
The woman admitted to the charges. “I’m the least educated of my four siblings,” she said. “I’m not good at interacting with people. I did it because I have a terrible inferiority complex.”
