Tokyo: Police bust ‘happening bar’ in Tama City

TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have busted a so-called “happening bar” in Tama City on suspicion of indecent exposure, reports Nippon News Network (Oct. 28).

On October 25, police raided bar Reality and found two male and female customers engaged in acts deemed obscene in the presence of other customers.

In addition to the two customers, officers arrested Kazuhiko Yamaguchi, the 59-year-old manager, and another suspect. All four suspects admit to the allegations.

A happening bar allows customers to engage in sex with one another. In addition to making the arrests, officers seized a number of costumes from Reality.

Since opening in 2004, Reality accumulated about 400 million yen in sales. “Welcome to an adult Disneyland,” Yamaguchi billed Reality to customers. “Because our location is in the countryside, we will not be busted. [You will have] full peace of mind.”
