AICHI (TR) – Aichi Prefectural Police on Tuesday announced that they had found the bodies of a female office worker, 38, and her two children at their home in Nishio City.
The case is being treated as murder-suicide, the Nishio Police Station said.
At around 9:35 p.m. on Monday, the 42-year-old husband of Manami Enomoto returned home to find that the front door would not open. After he forced it open, he found Manami, son Wataru, 2, and daughter Saho, 5 months, collapsed on the floor of the same room.
Emergency personnel later confirmed then mdead at the scene, police said.
The edges of the door to the room where the three were found had been sealed off with tape. When police officers rushed inside, they smelled gas.
Police will use the results of autopsies to determine the causes of death.
