MIYAGI (TR) – Miyagi Prefectural Police have arrested a 48-year-old father for stabbing his 15-year-old son in the back with a knife and strangling him to death at their home in Ishinomaki City, reports TV Asahi (Apr. 29).
At around 7 a.m. on Monday, Yoshishi Sasaki, an office worker, allegedly stabbed his son, 15-year-old Keita, in the back with a kitchen knife and strangling him to death with a rope.
Upon his arrest on suspicion of murder, Sasaki admitted to the allegations, police said.
After the incident, Sasaki turned himself in to the police. Keita, who also lives in the residence, was subsequentkly found unconscious in a bedroom of the house. He was later confirmed dead at the hospital where he was taken.
Police said that the family had not consulted with them about any problems previously.
