KANAGAWA (TR) – Kanagawa Prefectural Police have arrested a 56-year-old man in connection with an incident in which a male pedestrian was stabbed and robbed near JR Yokohama Station last year.
In September, Hideo Shibuya, of no known occupation, allegedly threatened the victim, aged in his 30s, on the street near the West Exit. “You bumped into me. I’m a yakuza,” he reportedly said.
After stealing approximately 430,000 yen in cash, he allegedly stabbed the victim with a knife when he tried to take the money back, reports Fuji News Network (Feb. 6).

The victim suffered undisclosed injuries, police said.
Shibuya partially denies the charges. “It’s true that I stole the wallet, but I didn’t injure him, and there was no 430,000 yen in it,” he said.
