SAITAMA (TR) – A man found collapsed and bleeding from his head at a bar in Saitama City on Tuesday later died at a hospital, police said, reports TBS News (Dec. 24).
Around 12:00 p.m., an ambulance worker who rushed to the scene after receiving a report from the police that a man was unconscious at the bar, located in Miyamachi, Omiya Ward.
According to police, a man in his 40s or 50s was found bleeding from his head and collapsed. He had multiple bruises all over his body. He was taken to the hospital in a critical condition and unconscious, but later died.
Chairs and tables had been overturned inside the bar, and there were signs of a struggle.
Police are currently questioning the person who made the call. The investigation is ongoing under the possibility that this was a case of manslaughter.
The incident occurred in a corner of a busy shopping district lined with multi-use buildings and hotels, about 400 meters from JR Omiya Station.
