TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested a 21-year-old girl for allegedly abducting a teenage girl he got to know through the internet, reports TBS News (Oct. 9).
On October 1, Yuki Takada allegedly brought the girl, 14, to his residence in Nerima Ward while knowing she was a minor.
Takada, who has been accused of kidnapping a minor, admits to the allegations. “I sympathized with her and wanted to be with her,” the suspect was quoted by police.
The suspect got to know the girl on an internet bulletin board side at the end of September, according to police.
The day after the abduction, a member of the girl’s family saw Takada walking with her on a road in the ward.
