Haruka Kodama, a former member of the popular idol group HKT48, has updated her Twitter account to reveal that she was pickpocketed while traveling overseas.
“Actually, I was pickpocketed overseas and lost my passport,” she wrote on the site on November 23. “My wallet was stolen, along with two credit cards and my driver’s license, so I was in a big pinch.”
She also cautioned her fans.
“It was my first experience and I was very shaken, and I regretted my lack of a sense of danger,” she wrote. “Everyone, please be careful when traveling.”

In addition, in a video posted at the same time, Kodama she seemed confused. “I need to submit a certified copy of my family register [to the Japanese embassy], but I don’t have my My Number card, so what should I do with the original?” she asked. “There are so many necessary documents.”
Kodama said that she had put all her money, two credit cards, her driver’s license and her passport in her pouch.
“It was a perfect pickpocketing. I didn’t even notice for a second,” she said. “Will I be able to go back to Japan?”
