TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested a 34-year-old deliveryman for molesting a woman in her 20s in Meguro Ward last month, reports the Sankei Shimbun (Sep. 12).
At around 9:00 p.m. on August 8, Sekine Yutaro, who claims to be a delivery man, is suspected of approaching a woman in her 20s from behind on the street and molesting her.
Upon his arrest on suspicion of non-consensual obscenity, he admitted to the charges, saying, “I wanted to relieve stress. I couldn’t suppress my desire to touch the woman.”
According to police, Sekine found a woman in a deserted alley while driving a three-wheeled motorbike after a delivery. He then stopped the motorbike, approached the woman and touched her.
Sekine’s involvement was revealed from security camera footage shot in the area, police said.
There have been other cases of indecent assault by perpetrators on three-wheeled motorbikes in Tokyo, and police are investigating whether this case is connected.
