CHIBA (TR) – Chiba Prefectural Police have arrested a 45-year-old man after the bodies of two women were found in his apartment in Narashino City on Friday, reports NHK (May 10).
At around 2:00 p.m., Yuki Murayama, of no known occupation, called police to report that he had killed two people the day before.
When officers rushed to the suspect’s apartment, they found the fully clothed bodies of the two women in the bathroom with marks of having been strangled.
The two women are believed to be Murayama’s mother, aged in her 70s, and sister, aged in her 40s.
Early on Saturday, police accused Murayama of murder in the death of the woman believed to be his mother. “I strangled them with an electrical cord,” he said in admitting to the allegations.
Police are continuing the investigation to learn the circumstances that led to the deaths and the motive.
