TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested a 26-year-old male member of the Ground Self-Defense Forces for intimidating his girlfriend by demanding that she send him illicit photos, reports TBS News (Apr. 19).
On April 14, Hiroaki Makino, a private first-class at Camp Koga, located in Ibaraki Prefecture, allegedly demanded that his girlfriend, a 28-year-old company employee living in Ota Ward, use the smartphone application Line to send him a nude photographs of her inside a public toilet at a park.
In the same text conversation, he added that if she did not abide by the request he would distribute photos from the past to her parents.
Makino, who has been charged with making threats, admits to the allegations. “I like a woman who is obedient,” the suspect is quoted by police.
The incident came to light when the victim reported to the alleged crime to police on Monday.
“The case is under investigation, and we will deal with the matter strictly,” a representative of Camp Koga is quoted by the Asahi Shimbun (Apr. 18).
