SHIZUOKA (TR) – Police arrested a man on suspicion of murder on Saturday after he allegedly strangled his father during an argument while unpacking moving boxes.

Ishii Kazunari, 25, was held on murder charges for strangling his 57-year-old father in the residence they share in Shimoda City, Shizuoka Prefecture, at around 2: 20 p.m. on Saturday, TV Asahi reports (November 6).

Kazunari called police immediately after strangling his father and reported the incident, but police have not disclosed whether the suspect has admitted to the charges.

Kazunari and his father, who just moved to the city, were unpacking boxes when they started arguing, police said.
