Aichi cops arrest 3 in killing of man whose body found in Nagoya park

AICHI (TR) – Aichi Prefectural Police on Saturday arrested three persons in the death of a 56-year-old man whose body was found in a park in Nagoya last month, reports the Asahi Shimbun (Oct. 22).

Beginning at 10:00 p.m. on September 21, Makoto Kamanaka, 36, allegedly beat the head and chest of Mitsunori Shigeta inside a residence in Nakamura Ward.

Shinya Kawano, 56, and Hajime Nakayama, 49, are alleged to have worked with Kamanaka to bind the arms and legs of Kamanaka inside the same residence later the next morning.

At around 10:00 a.m. on September 22, the unconscious body of Shigeta was found at a park in the same ward. He was later confirmed to have died due to suffocation by choking on his own blood.

Officers have accused Kamanaka of manslaughter and confinement Kawano and Nakayama faces charges of confinement.

The involvement of the suspects came to light after police learned that Kamanaka and Shigeta had a history of problems.
