FUKUOKA (TR) – Fukuoka Prefectural Police are hunting for a woman who posed as a postal worker and slashed an elderly woman here on Saturday.
The 87-year-old woman was slashed by the suspect at her residence entrance in Fukuoka City and rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening cuts to her right arm and hand, TV Asahi reports (October 23).
The suspect fled the scene with the knife still in her possession, police said, adding she is in her 30s-40s with shoulder-length black hair and was last seen wearing a white top.
The elderly woman’s residence features an auto-lock security function, but the suspect was able to fool her into unlocking the door through her disguise, police said.
