TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested a 44-year-old former gang boss for allegedly assaulting a bar hostess in the Roppongi Entertainment district of Minato Ward, reports TV Asahi (Oct. 18).
In May Shinobu Inoue, a former boss of a gang affiliated with the Sumiyoshi-kai, allegedly threw shaved ice at the face of the hostess, aged in her 20s, inside a club.
The hostess suffered a cut lip in the incident.
Inoue admits to the allegations. “I had gotten really drunk, and I didn’t like her attitude so I did it,” the suspect is quoted by the Azabu Police Station.
According to police, Inoue is a regular customer of the club. Prior to the incident, he had arrived to drink with two acquaintances.
