OKINAWA (TR) – A 22-year-old U.S. Marine was arrested for throwing a glass cup at a restaurant worker’s head while intoxicated, prefectural police said on Monday.

Corporal James Louis Mackie of Marine Corps Air Station Futenma was arrested on bodily injury charges for throwing a glass cup at a restaurant worker’s head on Sunday at around 10 p.m. in Chatan, the Asahi Shimbun reports (August 15).

Mackie told Okinawa Prefectural Police he “doesn’t really remember” what happened because he was drunk.

The 26-year-old male victim suffered light injuries to his head, police said.
