IBARAKI (TR) – Ibaraki Prefectural Police are seeking the whereabouts of a man who robbed a 24-hour book store in Ushiku City early Wednesday, reports TBS News (May 25).

At approximately 5:00 a.m., a man wearing dark clothing wielded a box cutter in front of a male clerk at the Ushiku outlet of Megaton Shoten, which sells books and DVDs, and demanded money. After taking 400,000 yen from two registers, the man fled the scene.

There were no customers in the store at the time of the robbery.

The man is described as being in his 20s or 30s and measuring about 180 centimeters in height. He was dressed in a black hooded sweatshirt and pants. His face was covered with a mask and sunglasses.
