Chiba cops: Pachinko parlor robbed of ¥16 million

CHIBA (TR) – Chiba Prefectural Police have launched an investigation following the disappearance of more than 15 million yen from a pachinko parlor in Chiba City, reports Nippon News Network (May 1).

On Saturday morning, an employee of the parlor, located in the Shiinazakicho area of Midori Ward, found that 16 million yen in receipts was missing from a safe in the office.

There were no signs that the safe had been broken into. As well, the office had not ransacked.

Police suspect that the crime was committed sometime between 11:30 p.m. on Friday and 8:15 a.m. on Saturday.

Police are now examining surveillance camera footage for clues in the case.
