HYOGO (TR) – Hyogo Prefectural Police have launched an investigation following the discovery of a male corpse off the coast of Takasago City, reports the Sankei Shimbun (April 19).
At approximately 8:10 a.m. on Monday, a sailor operating a small boat found the body of a man floating at the mouth of a canal located near Takasago Seaside Park.
According to the Takasago Police Station, the body, which had in part become skeletal, did not exhibit any external injuries. The approximate age of the person is unknown.
The results of an autopsy will be used to determine the cause of death. Police are also working to identify the corpse.
