TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested two 21-year-old teachers for molesting boys they met while working part-time jobs, reports the Sankei Shimbun (Feb. 2).
In November Koto Makino, a teacher at a vocational school, sexually abused a boy, 12, at his residence in Hachioji City after meeting him at a game arcade. He lured the boy, a sixth-year elementary school student, by telling him that he had “an interesting game to play.”
Three months before, Yuto Koizumi, a nursing instructor, allegedly paid 10,000 yen in electronic money to a 13-year-old boy for the provision of sex acts. Koizumi also met the boy, a first-year middle school student, at the arcade.
At the times of the alleged crimes, the two suspects were employed together as part-time workers at the arcade.
Makino, who has been charged with indecent assault, admits to the allegations. “I have an interest in children, mane and women,” the suspect is quoted by police, according to Fuji News Network (Feb. 2). Koizumi faces charges of child prostitution.
Police suspect that the suspects have been sexually abusing boys met at the arcade since last summer.
In January, Makino was first arrested on child prostitution charges in a separate case involving two boys. During the investigation, his friendship with Koizumi and the other crimes emerged.
