Yakuza pimped teen hooker to 100 customers over 3 weeks

KANAGAWA (TR) – Kanagawa Prefectural Police have arrested an organized crime member for the prostitution of a teenage girl living temporarily in Sagamihara City, reports the Kanagawa Shimbun (Dec. 11).

Between August 18 and September 12, a 20-year-old member of the Yamaguchi-gumi, is alleged to have provided customers met on dating sites for the girl, a 17-year-old runaway from Yamanashi Prefecture, on approximately 100 occasions, including a rendezvous with a 36-year-old male office worker at a hotel in Hachioji City.

Sales from the crimes are estimated to total two million yen.

The gang member, who has been charged with violating child welfare and anti-prostitution laws, denies the charges, saying he received no money as a result of the encounters.

On August 17, a 42-year-old male company employee asked the girl if she was interested in working as a prostitute during a meeting at a restaurant in Sagamihara.

She in turn had an interview with the gang member at a hostess club. During the period in which the alleged crimes were committed, she lived at a residence in Sagamihara’s Midori Ward.

The male company employee was also arrested in the case.
