TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police on Tuesday announced the bust of a ring that forced a teenage girl to serve as a prostitute for dozens of men, reports Nippon News Network (Oct. 20).

Over a 40-day period beginning at the end of August, Aomi Morita, a 20-year-old resident of Itabashi Ward, and two other suspects are alleged to have forced the girl, a 16-year-old runaway, to provide sexual services to 60 men. She was also confined at a residence in Saitama Prefecture.

Morita denies the allegations, telling police that the girl is making false accusations, according to TBS News (Oct. 20).

The suspects charged the girl’s customers 20,000 yen per session. Of that amount she was compensated 1,000 yen.

The girl used the mobile phone of one of her customers to type a message on Twitter requesting help. The suspects then became enraged and took her to a cemetery in Tokyo’s Toshima Ward, where they threatened to slash her arms and bury her in concrete.
