TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police on Thursday announced the arrest of an organized crime member for the assault of a male acquaintance in Shibuya Ward, reports Nippon News Network (Oct. 16).

In July, Chikashi Nosaka, a 31-year-old member of the Yamaguchi-gumi, and one other male suspect are alleged to have kicked the chest and lower back of the man, 31, in a parking lot in the Ebisu Nishi area over the repayment of a loan.

The victim suffered injuries that required 10 days to heal.

The victim originally received a loan of two million yen, which was not repaid. Nosaka, who admits to the allegations, said that the trouble began after the victim asked for 500,000 yen in additional funds.
